Wagyu Kanata Amsterdam opens new location

At the location where Caro’s Bar & Restaurant was situated until recently, you will soon find the second branch of Wagyu Kanata Amsterdam. The establishment where Wagyu beef takes the spotlight has already gained recognition in Buitenveldert and its surroundings. The entrepreneurs decided it was time for more because, following a crowdfunding campaign, a new branch is under construction. The owner already shared an exciting sneak preview on Instagram, and it’s undeniably promising.

Menu Wagyu Kanata

For those who love meat, this establishment is undoubtedly familiar. Wagyu Kanata’s meat comes from Japan, specifically from Iga, with an A5 – the highest achievable classification. This grading is given only to meat with a distinctive marbling, a perfect balance and blend of fat, and clarity, texture, and luster. Kanata is the place to be if you’re looking for a tender Wagyu steak, but they offer more than that. They have popular cold appetizers, including Wagyu sushi, and the spicy chilled tofu is also a success. The spicy ramen is also a favorite, and the seaweed salad is not to be missed.

Even though meat takes the spotlight, vegetarians can enjoy a satisfying meal here. The grilled king mushrooms are excellent, and the deep-fried tofu in dashi is a definite hit. Residents of Buitenveldert also praise this place for its takeout options, with a separate menu available. Whether the city center location will also be available through your favorite delivery app remains to be seen.

Kanata’s updates still indicate that they will be opening this summer, so more patience is needed.
