Violence towards women and nudity

The constant nudity of women, which of course, is never needed! One scene using a gun for sexual purposes is horrific. Why would any show that has any respect for women have a scene like this! I was outraged!!

Gang rape, not for the sensitive, +14 is a joke

My boyfriend has been suggested Narcos for a while and so I agreed even though drugs, gangs, violence is not really my thing. I thought Breaking Bad was superb, but this is something altogether different.Multibillionnaire Drug Lords do not get to become Multibillionnaire Drug Lords by being good people with morals who blanch at committing acts of extreme violence. This is fairly common sense so I don't know why I found the gang rape scene in episode 2 so shocking and upsetting. I already knew these people were not good people. I guess it just saddens me to see how often sexual assault is used as a plot device to further narrative, and how commonplace it is in movies and TV.Probably my own fault for expecting anything else from a show like this. But I would not want my 14 year old children to watch it and I'm quite shocked that that's what parents and kids seem to have agreed on for this show, 14+?I don't really think violent depictions of rape should be used as plot devices or as shorthand for 'just so you know, this character is REALLY evil'. I especially don't think children should be exposed to violent gang rape on TV in their formative years.

You name it Narcos probably shows it

Gripping crime drama surrounding drug lord Pablo Escobar is about as mature as it gets on the big screen. The first season revolves around Pablo and co.'s rise and fall and details law enforcements mostly fruitless efforts to stop him. Throughout the show Cocaine is produced, smuggled, snorted, sold, you name it. Violence is frequent and intense. Point blank murders and executions are common. In the first episode a teenager working for the narcos is gunned down by an officer. Plenty of colourful language. Lots and lots of sex scenes that are borderline p*rnographic with bare breasts and bottoms on display. Women are treated poorly and shown as sex objects for the most part. A very upsetting rape scene is featured. Prostitutes feature often. It's one of Netflix's best productions and all three seasons are worth watching but season 1 is definitely the stand out. Absolutely not for kids or the feint of heart. An iron clad 18+

Narcos often isn't the most graphic with its violence but it is still very brutal and realistic. It is also more intense because it often suddenly switches from calm to violent. It is also about Pablo Escobar (At least for the first 2 seasons) so there is a lot of cocaine in it.

Extremely Good TV Show

I am 17 and I found this TV show somewhat disturbing. Lots of drugs, violence, and hardcore sex. I had to skip some scenes, specifically the ones involving rape. Beware, if you have a child around 14 or younger, this is a definite no go. Maybe a mature 16 year old and above will be able to handle it. Other than that, few great messages, protagonists are solid role models. Overall, the show is extremely well acted, and transitions are extremely well done. You real feel a connection to the protagonist struggles to take down drug lords.

Brutally violent, aggressive and graphic show about drugs

This isn't Breaking Bad - it's not funny (intentionally or otherwise) but it is graphic, violent and hard-hitting. Not something for a child (particularly under the age of 14) - blood, gore, foul language, nudity, sex, abuse, torture, animal cruelty and that's just in the first 3 episodes. Great television for adults - we know that it is fiction and good special effects.

Extremely good show only for adults

This show has a ton of drugs and violence. Many scenes depict realistic and pervasive shootings with blood and wounds being shown. Many of these shootings are treated with little regard for the victims, further emphasizing the intensity of the scene. Scenes of bloody dead bodies. Multiple execution and torture scenes. These include water boarding, beatings, humiliation, and many blunt executions by way of gunshot. A sexual assault scene but nothing explicit is shown. A pet cat is murdered and the dead body is clearly shown. Characters are frequently seen smoking and drinking. Use of both marijuana and cocaine is shown. People dead of a cocaine overdose are shown.

Dark...flawed hero plays in an intriguing show

The story in this show follows the infamous drug dealer Pablo Escobar being hunted down by cops. This show is over-the-top violence with extreme gore, brutal tortures, ruthless beatings and many more ways you can expect a person to die in a battle.Has frequent foul language and cursing among each other.Way too much drinking and non-stop cocaine uses and use and most of the characters ( even good ones ) smoke and drink. The main characters are Steve Murphy,Pena and Pablo Escobar in a huntdown.Steve and Pena are DEA agents who plans to get down Escobar...they are not really heroes...they just do their job.Pablo is a ruthless villan and can also be considered as a flawed hero. This show is suitable for teens 18 and up
